ROSEMARY BEACH — When the poor children of Los Rieles un La Vega, a village in the Dominican Republic, are playing with their new Christmas toys next week, they can thank the art of a renowned painter and the heart of lesser known volunteers.
Rick Rush, 2011 Sports Artist of the Year, is lending his talent to help raise money for Global Effect, a Panama City Beach–based charity. He will show his work and greet the public from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Rosemary Beach Town Hall on the south end of Barrett Square. Light snacks and wine will be served.
