Memorial Day Ceremony at Gum Creek Cemetery

I was almost to the Gum Creek Cemetery Memorial Day Celebration when I got word that it had been cancelled. Being so close, I decided to go anyway and I am glad I did. About a dozen of us went ahead with a brief ceremony in light rain to honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom that so many take for granted. I was rejected from joining the military because of medical issues, but I hold those that have served and are serving in the highest esteem. Please join me in thanking these heroes and their families!
