Ms. Lisa and I have been brain storming about the up coming lunch menus.😀 I am ready for a big Taco Salad and some Chicken and Dumplings, oh and Chili!!!:wub::wub::wub:
If anyone has any ideas, let me know. What do you miss? What just sounds good?
I'm thinking, pinto beans, turnip greens, corn bread and fried chicken!
We miss our local friends and I am truly sad that I haven't had time to say more than hello to our Sowal friends.
I wanted to say thanks back to the Sowal visitor that I spoke with this morning. I enjoy spreading the deli love around, it's hard this time of year but I do try. Remember, in our little corner of paradise, we are all famous. My Ice Tea, Lisa's yummy meals, Ana's great smile, Charlie in general. It's fun, more people should have a little fun in this stressful world.

My girl starts Kindergarten on her Papa's Birthday 8/24. Life will be back to normal... I hope!

I love chicken salad with bits of apple in it in a sandwich on soft bread. They have it at this little place called "My Friends Place" sandwich shop in Atlanta and I miss it. My ultimate craving is Turkey with Bread and Butter pickles but I'm going to say thats too weird for most people (who havent tried it yet!)

I love chicken salad with bits of apple in it in a sandwich on soft bread. They have it at this little place called "My Friends Place" sandwich shop in Atlanta and I miss it. My ultimate craving is Turkey with Bread and Butter pickles but I'm going to say thats too weird for most people (who haven't tried it yet!)

Ms Lisa also does a grilled chicken with apples grapes and cranberries. I have to say it is one of the best I have ever tasted but Mr. Modica loves the signature chicken salad we have always served. It is yummy and one of the best selling things we have.
The best turkey sandwich in the world is on fresh white bread and all it has on it is Bread and Butter pickles and yellow mustard. I have never had it anywhere as a menu item but it was the sandwich of choice on the day after Thanksgiving at my grandmother's

Grilled Cheese!

:clap:We are working on the best day for Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup!:clap: Right now it looks like Thursday because it gives her time to prep for Friday. I like the idea because leftover soup can be good for non fish eaters on Friday.

mee too, bc it's making me wish the day after thanksgiving would hurry and get here, so i can have my moms turkey sandwich on white bread w/ sea salt, fresh ground pepper, DILL pickles, lettuce and mayo. mouth is watering and missing her more now.

SWGB, I am sure this will be a weekly or at least almost weekly thing so you should be good to go for the off season, except when Lisa goes home for Christmas.😀
