Flip Flops closed for remodeling

drove past flip flops today - there is brown paper covering the windows and doors. ominous!! please tell me they are just painting or something.

I was in there a couple of weeks ago and they had a sign up that said they'd be closed for remodeling over the holidays.

Yes - serious remodeling.

We went by for a burger and talked to the owner, Shea. He hopes to be open around Feb. He's also an engineer so he's concerned about traffic flow and efficiency. Engineers from Louisiana make great po-boys!

we went for a burger a few weeks ago. my mouth watering in anticipation of the wonderful FF burger!!! and CLOSED! wah!!!!!!! but shea (owner) was there doing a whole lot of work. Total do over. can't wait til they are back!

Threads merged - see my post above. Maybe Shea will stop by for an update.

Yes!!! We are definitely going to re-open....every year during the slow time I try and make the place a little better..but this time I bit off a little more than I could chew ... we remodeled to improve the flow in the kitchen and service area...and improve the flow of customers inside...it was very cramped and tough to move around... we are also making a few slight changes to improve our menu and meet the requests of local customers over the past year....if all goes well....we should be reopened on Feb 1....
