I agree, nice people, great food, great happy hour.....

I've looked at other comments about this restaurant and am convinced. We've also looked at the menu. We like that you can order items from the lunch menu at night and that they have what appears to be an old-school seafood platter (sometimes I just have a hankering for one of those).

We will definitely try it on our next visit. Thanks, y'all, for the reviews.

They have one of the best hamburgers around. They offer several versions but we really like the "all american". Yum - I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

Shoo Mama's is excellent! The fish taco is exceptional. Loved the grilled flour tortilla, just like people prepare them even on construction sites in Mexico, according to hubby. The collard greens were perfect, and this is coming from someone who loves collard greens -- not too much ham or salt and not all chopped up, as some people serve them. Hubby had the ribs. They were just as he likes them -- fall-off-the-bone tender.

BTW the waitress was so adorable, friendly, and helpful.

Can't wait to get back and try more items on the menu!

Agree completely with BR...ate there last night with a friend and he and I both thought the food was delicious and the service was superb...

I agree too. Great Food and great Service. I have tried the "Ragin` Cajun" and it was awesome. This little Restaurant is worth the money.

Had all you can eat wings at the bar with Rep Comic on Sat. I'll say it...we gorged ourselves. Great place to sit and have a casual meal with a friend!

Had their veggie stuffed grouper special Saturday nite. Served with sauted spinach and wild rice. Yummy!

I saw some friends there also on Saturday. Had the Chicken and Dumpling soup. Excellent. And somebody's wings too.

oh...he's a total idiot...that's why i like him....and another strange local came up and started macking on our wings...only in SoWal.

We went to Shoo Mamas and what a wonderful experience. They have the best attitude I have encountered in SOWAL. Split a burger...no problem, no additional seasoning on it other than salt and pepper....no problem, no seasoning except salt on the fries.... no problem. And a handmade burger as fresh as they come. They split the burger on two buns and didn't charge extra(I think they should have) but I am not complaining. All of the food served around us to other diners looked great. And all were just as excited as we were about their food. Looking forward to my next trip down 98.
