Sounds delicious. One question though, is the Caprese Roll the ingredients listed rolled up or it it like a wrap?

I like the Bar but those Food Prices are ridiculous IMO...It's like the wife always says though "It's 30-A"....What happened to The Old Management by the way?

Knowing Fire those are very reasonable and you'll get your monies worth as they've never scrimped on portions. It's also primarily a wine bar and not an eatery so these are essentially snakes or appetizers.

Sounds utterly delicious! Those prices aren't that bad either for what you get.

Having lived in Los Angeles when Tapas were the in thing in the early to mid 90's I am not a Fan....a friend of mine used to say Tapas in Spanish means...."not much food for alot of money"...we used to go as a group of 4 spend about 200 dollars on Tapas and Drinks....leave all still fairly hungry and invariably stop at In N Out for a Double Double and a Shake on the way home....that is the reason most Tapas Places are long out of business...since I consider this more of a bar than an eatery it is not a apples to apples comparison....I like the place cause it's the only place I know of that carries Cigar City Jail Alai IPA on Draft in the Area

Tapas is basically appetizers and small plates, it's not meant to be a meal.

The most expensive thing on the menu is $16 - and it's meant to be shared. :idontno:

I was hoping for a few more substantial "food" items, but this is still far better than previously offered there. We were all starving and fighting over the 5 almonds on the midget cheese tray.

A typical Fire appetizer is a meal for me - they don't skimp.

16 Bucks is pretty pricey for a Tapas cause normally you don't get that much.....personally I think anytime you start getting over a 10 Dollar Price Point for a Tapas it is to high cause there are many places you can eat an entire meal for that amount...I will check it out before judging though.....and I do agree with you about the more substantial food....we were all saying that when we watched the Bama/Auburn Game there last Thanksgiving...fortunately the Auburn Boosters let us dig in to the BBQ Catering they got from the Seaside Guy

Sir, please advise where in all of South Walton one person can eat an entire meal for $10.00? Please don't mention fast food.

Coincidentally enough..walk out the door of The Naked Grape....turn right...proceed around 20 yards...turn right....go 3 yards....turn right...proceed through glass doors and go 5 yards and you are in The Smiling Fish Cafe...great salads..burgers....fish sandwiches..wraps...seafood baskets etc all around the 10 Dollar Price Point....It's the best quality/value ratio on 30A IMO and one of the family favorites...there's a reason why they are still around after all these years when several other places are long gone...and no I don't consider The Smiling Fish Cafe fast food...

Right... Again I'll point out that there is a distinct difference. One ends in the words wine bar and the other ends in the word cafe. Would you like to continue explaining why oranges have divots and apples have smooth skin?

The 2 places have very similar prices. Lunch at Smiling Fish ranges from $8 to $15.50. (Dinner from $14.50 to $25). Naked Grape ranges from $9 to $16.

I don't feel that a $1 difference is grounds for such complaining.

Smiling Fish is one of my favorite restaurants, I am hoping Naked Grape becomes my favorite winebar.

And I'll actually TRY it before giving them a bad review.

Think I proved my point rather well....my statement was when Tapas start getting over a price point of 10 Bucks you are getting into a territory where you can get a full meal at another venue for the same price...I did NOT say it was going to be Flemings or Ruth Chris type place for my comparison.....as someone who has been in Food Service for years I can say that Tapas Concepts are deader than Julius Caesar and I will be surprised if this concept is successful in this economic climate and 4 dollar a gallon gas....I hope the place does well though cause I think it's a chill bar on 30-A which there are not many of

Then why are you trashing it without trying it?

Not trashing it anywhere as far as I can tell...nowhere did I say anything bad about the Place...I am just giving you my opinion on Tapas Concept and "Price Point Pressure" at this Date and Time....If I had been advising them I would have told them to do a "GastroPub" which is a really hot concept in The Bigger Cities around the Country right now; but we are prolly still a few years away from in SoWal...I mean they are already halfway there with their Craft Beers and nice wine selection...I am not familar with how much Kitchen Space they have in there so the concept may not be feasible in that location

IMO the "gastro pub" is much deader than tapas.

How about we just let them do things their way and post reviews AFTER trying their new dining options?

Considering the space doesn't have a kitchen, currently shared with Smiling Fish, it explains why the menu is very light on cooked foods.
