As many may or may not know, Rapunzel and I were served with foreclosure papers two months ago. Well, not us exactly, rather the bonehead who rented us our house a month after he stopped making mortgage payments.
So we officially need to vacate June 15th. We need a new pad.
Here is what we need: 2 bedrooms at a minimum, prefer to be west of Seagrove near 30-A, it has to be pet friendly (we have 2 small dogs). Strongly prefer unfurnished. Oh yes, we would prefer our new landlord be current on her mortgage!
Our new landlord will enjoy low maintenece, clean, non-smoking tenants. We currently rent a less than 5 year old 3 bedroom house in Seacrest Beach and we can arrive at a rent relative to what we are paying now.

Skunky, I know of two homes for rent south of 30-A on Pelican Circle, but they are both furnished. I could talk to my friend about storing the furniture if possible. Both are 2BR/2BA, screened porch on each, single car garage on each, close to the beach, one is a single story and the other is two story, both have fenced yards for dogs and are pet friendly. Is that the brick house on the right side of Hilltop, just before the curve?
If so, Fuzz and I lived there the first year we were married :wub: but had to move when it was sold. I was in the area a couple of weeks ago and saw that it was vacant and for rent.
We could have bought it for $38K back then :bang:

We're looking also. Thanks to all the grayt advice I got from sowallers on interviewing and attire, Mr. Critter landed a very nice job in Destin. 😀 Unlike Dr. Skunky, we have 2 BIG dogs, one pictured to the left there. They are both well behaved house dogs and Mr. Baxter there is kenneled when we leave the house. We also have a son starting high school this fall (or should I say this summer :blush: - they start so early), so we must be in Walton county. Would prefer a 4BR or 3BR w/bonus room, fenced yard. Nothing fancy required, just clean and not falling down, please. Also, we are very happy with north side of 98. We'll agree to 6 month or year lease, starting June 1, June 15 or July 1. Any info is graytly appreciated.
