I would love a Sequoia, as the last time I was the chauffuer (sp?) Mom to the Commons, I had six 14-year-olds in a Camry. Thank goodness one of them is small for his age. And, I would trust SJ when buying a used vehicle.

Unfortunately, my budget doesn't allow anything but a debt consolidation loan right now...:( or SJ and I would be at the tax collector's office transferring the title NOW...

SJ.

As you know a new version of the Sequia will coming out this fall on the new TUNDRA platform.

Bad news for you - We just picked up a brand 2007 Limited version.- 0 miles. The dealer discounted it $6,000 off of sticker. The dealer gave up alot including 1/2 his hold back.

Good news for you- The 2008 Sequia will be long. Suburbanisque size. Most people do not want or need that size. The older platform Sequia may become a hot item once the covers come off the 2008 model.

This SUV rides great. You are right once someone test drives it. It will be sold. Good Luck. Is your other ride a RR sport?

$6,000 off of the 2007 Limited if it has some extra goodies, will still set a buyer back about $10,000 more than my vehicle, which is in great condition and with low miles.

I hope for Toyota's sake that the new 2008 model Sequoia will not be as ugly as their new trucks. I think you are right about the longer version being to big for most consumers. The Sequoia is a good size as it is. Make it any longer and people will have to do three point turns just to get in a parking space.

Sounds like a plan. Let's start bidding at $25,000.

Or, if it wasn't illegal, we could make it a raffle -- $50 per ticket and have a drawing party on the beach.

sorry, but if I were looking, I'd be looking at a moped. :funn: I already have a bike that can go 150+. I need a more beach lifestyle moped, like a Honda Metro.

You're too tall for a moped, and the Vino 125 is just a bigger version of the Metro. Don't make me send you the specs and the consumer reports--you know I will!

I'm probably too tall for most scooters and mopeds. I really like the fact that I don't have to register a moped with Whitey, who is constantly riding my flip flops (I don't have any coat tails.) That is a cute scooter.

Seriously, though, I am trying to eliminate, not accumulate. Have you started a for sale thread yet?

I hear you on the eliminating. I'm still at home being sick, and have spent a lot of that time emptying closets. So satisfying. :D

It is a cute scooter, and a bit too Audrey Hepburn for most men. Oh, well...

I'm trying to sell it up here at home right now. I have it for sale at a shop right now, and had a couple of calls when school cranked up. If I don't get some bites on in by Labor Day I might start a thread--a lot of folks buy bikes in the fall. I was trying to talk Beach Runner into it!

You could always place an ad in the Red and Black (Univ. of Ga)_or the Athens Banner Herald. I am sure that scooters would sit well with cheap college students. What is your asking price?

$1500, but I get nervous thinking about selling it to someone at one of the top 5 party schools in the U.S.! If it were a moped, maybe, but that cute little thing will go pretty darned fast.

Don't you worry about that. It will probably be talking on the cell phone while trying to operate the scooter that kills them, not the partying.
