This 1961 Land Rover 88 Series II is a left-hand-drive station wagon that was delivered new to The Rover Company of North America in New York, and a refurbishment under previous ownership in 2026 included the installation of a rebuilt later-specification 2.25-liter inline-four, an overhauled four-speed manual transmission, a replacement wiring harness, aftermarket instrumentation, and more. Work following the seller’s purchase included fitting a high-compression cylinder head and a front winch as well as a replacement thermostat, pushrods, spark plugs, and assorted interior components. Additional equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, power steering, a black soft top, a front-mounted winch, a fold-down tailgate, 16″ steel wheels, a front-hood spare tire mount, front console storage, and front bucket seats and inward-facing rear benches trimmed in black vinyl.
