Old Town canoe for sale or trade. "Ojibway" model from L.L. Bean. About three years old. Light green color, 16' long, three seats, fiberglass. Very stable in the water and great for fishing. Would like to trade for a tandem kayak, but will sell for $250.

:welcome: SeaGroovy  I already have a canoe but howdy. Is a kayak a lot more useful in sowal than a canoe or does it just depend what you're doing?

We moved here about a year ago from Atlanta. We used the canoe on lakes up there, but down here we live close to the Gulf. The canoe is great on the bay, but we'd be able to walk to the beach with a kayak. My son and husband think they'd get more use out of kayak. Do you like your kayak?

I don't have one yet either. Hubbabubba and I canoe up here in Tennessee but haven't brought it down there yet. I really want to sometime. I bet a kayak would be funn out in the gulf. How far out in the bay do you get in your canoe? Have you canoed around Pt. Washinton or any of the rivers up by hwy 20. I forgrt the name.

Point Washington is mainly where they take out our canoe. They've seen dolphins and lots of other fish there. You should definitely bring your canoe with you sometime. Nice chatting with you!

We may be able to work out a trade for a kayak. Can you bring the canoe here to our shop in Seagrove (next to the old Wheelhouse Restaurant)?

I believe that is plastic, which is more durable than fiberglass but heavier. http://www.oldtowncanoe.com/canoes/generalFamily/ojibway_158.html

Did they make them in fiberglass? Sounds like a good price either way.

Wow, that's an awesome price. I thought it would be at least twice that. Too bad it won't match my new dining room set!

um, guess I got the message in the wrong spot. But, I'm sure that canoe wouldn't match my dinining room set either:)
