Cute puppies need homes

On 2/26 I took in a stray pregnant dog, on 3/6 she had 7 adorable puppies. They are 10 weeks old today. I've been able to find good homes for 3, but still have 4 that need loving homes. They've been wormed but I have not gotten their shots yet. The mother is a 35 pound, setter mix and I believe the father was a bulldog by the look of the puppies. They will probably be around 50 lbs. when grown. They are free. I can't keep them because I have 2 dogs already and plan to keep the mother and have her spayed. I have a photo posted in my album of 3 of them, the little black one is camera shy. Contact me if you are interested or have questions.

Do you have a female left? We took in a mixed breed bulldog/hound when he was about 5 weeks, he is now almost 12 wweks and we would like to find him a companion about that size. Please e-mail me at tehra.norris@yahoo.com or PM me with more info. Thanks.

I looked at the pic. They are adorable. They have big paws already & they do look like they'll be sorta big dogs. Good luck finding homes for these sweet pups.

tnorris, I'll email you but for anyone else interested....there are 2 females and 2 males left. The black and white one on the right is Cowgirl and on the far left, the brown one with some black on her is Daisy Mae. The boy in the middle is Brutus and the smaller black male not pictured is Petey. I'm going to try for a photo of Petey this weekend to post in the album.

Thank you for the interest and please let anyone know that is considering a new pet.

Good luck in finding them homes. Looks like they might be more of a char-pei mix than a bull dog....they have some long legs. Do they have wrinkly extra skin? Cowgirl is adorable.

The only reason I feel pretty sure about the bulldog father is because there was a white bulldog that roamed the neighborhood that had not been fixed. He has tags but I can't catch him to find the owner. But he's a tall dog, not an English bulldog, boxer or pitbull, but what some call an American bulldog. So that would account for the long legs. But of course I have no way of knowing for sure.

They were all wrinkled on the face when born but most of them have lost the wrinkles. Daisy Mae still has a few.

If you can tell me how much they weigh at 10 weeks I can tell you how much they will weigh as an adult.
From the photo definately no shar-pei, in the rescue world the pups would be called Lab mixes.
If you want to vaccinate them I have some extra vaccinations and would be happy to do it for you.

Thanks for the offer on vacines 4dogs, I appreciate that. I went ahead and took care of that so I wouldn't worry anymore. I haven't had a chance to weigh them though.

I just put an ad in the paper too. I'm working on a deadline of the end of next week with finding homes because of several trips I'm making this summer. I don't want to take them to a shelter if I can help it, I know how full they are. Still hoping for 4 good homes. Everyone hope with me!

Just from the look on "Brutus'" face you can tell he is going to be/is a smart pup. If i didnt have 120lbs of "poor puppy" laying at my feet right now I would love to take him.

Thanks jodiFL - They seem to be smart and trust me I have one "challenged" dog that I rescued 3 years ago, so I do know the difference. Brutus is a sweetie, he will play for a while, then he wants to lay in my lap, very loving. At a 120 pounds I have to ask, what kind of "poor puppy" do you have????

Try putting fliers up at, For the Health of It and the area vet offices. If you want I can post them on the PetFinder.com for you.

Hes just my "big red dog"... :D his mom was a large chocolate lab and from the looks of it dad was a golden / irish setter mix. But one of the neighbors dogs decided to take a bite out of his big @ss head so he is being pitiful right now. But nothing some loves, neosporin and aspirin filled hot dogs wont take care of.

4dogs - That would be great of you could post them on Petfinder.com. Or if there is some special trick I need to know to post them just tell me what to do. I was told of one site to post them on that wouldn't let me join. I did put pictures with my number at the vets offices and a few other places. Tried to be careful to post them where real animal lovers would see them.

oh my goodness. I am in love with Brutus.
If I had a yard and was actually home during the day I'd snatch him up in a heartbeat. Alas, I live in an apartment and I just couldn't do that to a dog. Good luck in finding homes for these sweeties! Be sure to keep us updated.

Good news. Brutus and Cowgirl have homes now thanks to this forum. It was hard to see them go but I felt very good about each person that adopted them and I hope they will be happy with their new puppies. I finally have a photo of Petey in my album, it's hard to get him to stand still. Still looking for a home for him and for Daisey Mae, the one of the far left in the group shot. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.

phuynh, Here are a couple of photos. I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I was out of pocket for a few days. I'm still looking for homes for Petey, the little black male and Daisy Mae, the brown female. Just ignore the dachshund in the photo, Trixie is a camera hog. If I can answer any questions on them send me a PM and thanks for asking about them.
