Considering trading home for vacant lot

I'm considering trading my home for a vacant lot in a nice area. I have a 2,600 sqft 3 bedroom that will appraise at around $400,000. If you are sick of sitting on your lot and would like to get a home you can use/rent, let me know. I would consider leasing it back for 6-12 months while I build another home. The house is in Santa Rosa Beach by Cafe Provence.
Send me a PM if you would like to discuss.

Josh, I am about to do the same thing with my Cypress Breeze House back on lot 150. I know someone who bought a lot in Watersound for 700,000 or so who would rather have my Cypress Breeze house which was just completed. I, of course, being a builder would rather have the vacant land.
I'll look for you out and about. John

I own the 2nd lot on the left on Brenda Lane (Seacrest) just west of Alys Beach. Lot is approximatley 160x85 and would have Gulf and Golf course Views if built on.
We would very much like a house or condo on 30A and would be interested in swapping our lot for something already built. We had planned to build on our lot, but 2 small kids later, we now don't have any time too mess with building.

I have had an incredible response so far. A lot of people are looking for immediate cash flow. I have interest from Caribe, Burnt Pine, and a couple lots in Rosemary. It could be advantageous for both parties.

...and what isn't free?

The whole trade central section will be free. The only part that will have a fee attached is selling side. That fee is paid by the advertiser and not by the people browsing the site.

Have you been successful in trading? Have a lot in Watercolor, phase 2. Trades didn't work out because, IMO, inflated price for home and trying to steal lot. Of course, depends on what side of the line you are on.

What's the fee?

I'm looking at a couple of options. Yes, it goes both ways. Land owners also think their vacant lot is worth a little more than it is. I've had pretty good response so far. Especially since I am willing to lease back for 12 months. I would probably even look at paying all 12 months up front. I'll probably make a decision in the next week or two.
