Building home in SoWal yourself

We are from Louisiana and would like to retire to SoWal. Is there a prohibition against being your own contractor (my husband is in the business here)?

Nope - just be sure you are on "SoWal Time"! Everything takes longer and labor likes to sleep, drink, and fish.

Thanks so much. Hopefully, we'll be fully on beach time by then, so a little slow won't matter!
