Lot of buzz about Freedom of Speech. Have you ever written a letter to the editor to your local newspaper. I did a couple of times and now you can in many places just post online. The interesting thing is they have rules, word count, topic and such. Even Twitter has rules. Some of them you would think are common sense, but no, they have actual written rules. I would bet if you went there and looked at the rules you would say they were pretty sensible. With that said I get a huge kick from folks who are on whatever platform they are on complaining how they or someone they know are being oppressed, that their speech or thoughts or whatever is being infringed upon. The society I live in has become entitled. We believe that whatever comes from us or some other like-minded soul should not be censored, unless they don't agree with you. My society believes that if your opinion doesn't line up with my opinion you are evil and deserving of being bullied and ridiculed. This society we share believes that there is only one right and I am standing on it. I even saw a sign that says vote a certain way because, We might have our faults but the other side is pure evil. Back to where I was going with this. These platforms have rules. The groups I belong to have rules, even those who say we don't have rules. I was banned from a group that had no rules because I was a moderate, didn't lose any sleep. I was not allowed to comment on another group because I would ask questions and post rebuttals to this former politicians stuff. Doesn't make a difference. As for my rules, I have only unfriended 1 person since I have been on any platform and that was because he said he was a racist and I got NO TIME FOR THAT. I may dislike someone for a lot of reasons, but the color of their skin AIN'T EVER GOING TO BE ONE OF THEM. Like I said rules, they have them, we have them. You don't like someone telling you what time to be at work, start your own business and wait for your customer to wonder what time you will show up to do the job they are going to pay you for. Don't like the rules on your social media platforms, start your own and make sure you tell everyone you got no rules.

The other day there was a road rage incident with shots fired. I was reading through the comments of people who claim to own handguns. They talked about the "ifs". You know, if someone was shooting at me, if I had gotten to my gun. I believe folks have a right to defend themselves but I also believe if someone who is not a party to the incident is injured or killed because of your lack of ability to hit what you are shooting at, you should also be accountable. Think about throwing shots out of a moving vehicle running through town. I claim no special ability or skill with regards to shooting guns but I do see the dangers to others even in defense of myself.

If they had both had guns which one would have been the good guy with a gun?

Yes indeed. I imagine much of the Russian populace would agree. The political landscape might would look very different over there.

Waiting to see the video or at minimum hear the audio of Biden in Red Square telling the Russians multiple times Ukraine was stolen from them and if they don’t fight like hell they will no longer have a country and he is going march over there with them to take it back.:popcorn:

Were they ever really though? They've never does anything to back that up. Seems to be mostly a talking point they never follow through on.

Republicans:

- drove deficit spending to new heights under Regan with a massive military expansion
- created the largest government department ever with the department of Homeland Security
- went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan on the charge card
- passed a massive unpaid tax cut primarily for the wealthy (left that expiration time bomb for the rest of us)

We can control it.
The oil companies are taking their record profits and paying shareholder dividends and buying back their stock, not drilling for new oil.
It’s time we have a national oil company for the oil under public lands.
Free from the global price per barrel we can build our own refineries and process oil on public land into gasoline and heating oil for domestic use.
The oil companies will still have access to private leases, which is where they pump the majority of their oil, and can continue to purchase or sell oil on the open market.
