Hi, SoWal friends...Well, here I sit on beautiful Bainbridge Island. Sunshine on my pond today and a little rain tonight to make the world green and glorious. A Chinese New Year's parade tomorrow and three big fat Sunday papers, a pot of Peet's finest. Lots of good writing going on here. Sure do miss my SoWal pals and the white beaches, though. So how about you guys send me some big funny "hello" messages, cause I could use some cheery notes these days. I'll get to the other side, but all of us can use a boost now and then. Thanks for your best efforts and I will try to respond in time with an especially good story! :(

Well, this isn't as cool as the sunset in Kurt's photo above (which I think may be one of the coolest photos - EVER), it is what I was looking at yesterday while the crazy shoppers were looking to score deals at the Seaside Yard Sale, yesterday.

I scored a good deal on a brand new sofa. And I have been horizontal on it since it was delivered yesterday afternoon!:(

I love good deals! Good for you--don't listen to SJ--you gotta strike while the iron is hot--or something like that. Hope you're feeling better!

You guys are just the greatest! Oh, if only one could be in two places at once. I guess that I am just paying the cost of having been gypsy for all these years, in some respects. Am figuring it out on my own and will get to the other side intact, I am certain. I am Leo and always land on my feet, after all. But as beautiful as WA State is, it seems so far away from my beautiful beach and friends who will come by just because I have not answered my phone. (Be still, my heart...you know who you are.) Kurt, I want that sunset print for my library here...let's discuss.

And for those of you yearning for the next story, it is coming soon. I wrote something just the other day about beaches and buoyancy and why we are all so drawn to the sea. It made me cry and so I had to put it away to "season" for a spell before release. Coming soon to your area...

Hi Donna:

Soooooooo, when do you come back to visit SoWal? To be connected to two beautiful places must make you feel so lucky (and torn between the two at times!). Have you met many people on the island? Have you been part of the Christmas and Valentine exchanges? If not, be sure to sign on for next year. They've been grayt.

Good morning Donna!! I always love to hear what you are seeing because I imagine it as though I'm looking at it too. I have a question. What is Peet's finest? Coffee? Tea? Potting soil? Just think, two more days until the SoWal Valentine's Day party! Have an awesome day and remember, you've got one more opportunity to make a difference in somebody's life today....

It takes my breath away. It seems so unreal. Probably THE best sunset picture I have ever seen in my life!!!!!!!

Hello Donna and good to see you popping in to say Hi to us. I miss you. :(

BC, Peet's is the best coffee around and Donna's a lucky duck to have a whole pot of it. It would bring out anyone's creative juices.
