Congrats Gators!

What the h did they do now? Something in basketball?

Grayt Job Gators!
At least SOMEONE from Florida is making the Sports News! I thought FSU had a basketball team? I know we used to have a football team....

Just kidding. 2007 is going to be much better all the way around!
Good luck Gators! Make us proud!

Gators and Ohio State again? Hmmmm

Oh, thanks. Another championship.

Congratulations...............AGAIN. :clap_1:

ShallowsNole I have to say I feel bad (as much as a Gator can) that the Noles didn't get in. They didn't do themselves any favors the other day, but still ...

Thanks for the well wishes, mleigh.

I was thrilled that the Gators won the SEC Championship so definitively -- never let a team get ahead of them in the entire tournament.

But when I heard the announcement that the Gators were #1 of the #1 seeds for the NCAA championship tourney, I cried!

BTW if you're a Gator fan, go to http://www.sportsline.com/video/player?id=133841s=&channel=collegebasketball and scroll down to the video "Gators Win And Then Dance." Joakim Noah is dancing while being interviewed. It's hilarious.

I think they will be playing here in NOLA. I guess I would go if I was really motivated...

'Tis okay. Basketball just isn't our thing. We seem to be slowly but steadily improving - VERY slowly - but I don't expect to win the tournament anytime soon. Besides, it's baseball season now.

Skunky it looks like hubby and oldest child will try to head to NOLA from SoWal on Sunday to see the Gators play. :clap_1: Any ideas of where to stay? Should they try hotels on the north shore? I know the Hyatt during big events is not for the common people and other than that ... well honestly I couldn't imagine where to call.

Almost all the hotels that you are familiar with are still here and hungry for visitors! Check Orbitz!

I just did and I really can't believe how many places still have rooms available.

Well, there really isn't much going on right now besides the basketball games. You see the public relations nightmare our fair sinking city is facing...tourist hotspots are still here for the enjoyment, but the prevailing perception is that the whole city still looks like Hiroshima circa Septmeber 1945
