I think Moondance is M.I.A. I hope earl didn't take her out.
By the way, if you are still out there Moondance, thanks for leaving your strapless bra on the back of my car for everyone to see. Now, I have a reputation around here as a real ladies man.

Mine do not watch any Fox cartoons. Simpsons, Family Guy, King Of The Hill. I know "all of the other kids watch it" but not ours. Not all other kids. My remaining one at home's more adult than kid now (near 17, HS Junior), and still subject to the resident censors (Mom & Dad). When not much younger (3-4 years) the Fox stuff was off his plate [seems like for a long long time, the only thing on our tube, during the limited amounts of time we let it be on, was Nick stuff]. Some post 10pm (EST) fare, like FX channel stuff), still is, along with most of the raunchier "R" movies (thankfully, he self-censors now for the most part - don't know what we did to deserve this kid, but we're pretty thankful).

You probably threatened to wash his mouth out with TOAD!
We don't even subscribe to cable for that reason. (Miss some good stuff though - guess it's a tradeoff)

You probably threatened to wash his mouth out with TOAD! :blink:We subscribe to digital cable in Atl. MOST of the channels will never come in ("this channel should be available shortly"). :idontno: Same diff, I suppose, except I pay for the censorship...

We switched to satellite for that reason, along with the fact that once they ran a 1200' cable from the street to our house, there was no reception left. Love the Sirius radio, *hate* that we don't get "Local on the 8's" from the weather channel anymore! (just the national overview... :pissed:)
On the other topic, i can see why parents might not let their kids watch Simpsons or Family Guy. But King of the Hill seems pretty benign, i'd think. it doesnt seem to push the envelope like the others, just is kind of a spot-on social commentary. i don't know, maybe i'm not paying enough attention. But man, that IS the neighborhood & neighbors i grew up with, he nails it. i even had a neighbor named Bubba.

We don't even subscribe to cable for that reason. (Miss some good stuff though - guess it's a tradeoff)We skip the nickle-and-dime-you-to-death premium stuff like the HBOs & Showtimes, movies on demand, etc. Excluding FX and such, most of what we get is broadcast type fare so not much to worry about there.

Yeah...My parents definitely would NOT let me watch those. We couldn't watch Roseanne when I was little. And a blast from the past- Nickelodeon "You Can't Do That on Televison"...I would sneak to watch that like a 13 year old trying to watch Cinemax porn. It was the best! But so bad for kids!
Is Cinemax where Parrothead learned the facts of life?
got any pics?
