Now that school has started, the beach is a distant memory- thankfully there is this board!

Absolutely! It was beautiful, perfect weather all week (only rained one day).
The water was clear and gorgeous, we couldn't have asked for a better week. Even managed to visit the Red Bar!
The dunes were definitely sad. We stayed at Beachside Condos, and Emerald Hill right next door was in terrible shape, the foundation was hanging a few feet over the edge! We did have to dodge bulldozers a couple of days doing beach scraping, but that was actually interesting to watch.
Grace (my 15 month old niece) absolutely LOVED it. She kept trying to feed cheetos to the planes flying overhead (don't ask, she's silly.. )

I enjoy going to our Kentucky Lakes.....Cumberland, Nolin, Taylorsville, Rough River, Green River, Barren, Barkley and several others I can't remember right now. But the ocean is something special to us Kentuckians. We don't take it for granted, the unique sounds and all the sensory pleasures and everything that goes with it. I guess that's why we are willing to drive like banshees for hours on end to get there. Welcome back. Glad you had a great time too!. KOE

We did have great weather didn't we? We used the Beachside walkover a couple of times at night but other than that we went to Grayton and then the Dunes Of Seagrove where my Mom stayed. We made it to the Red Bar too. I had the grilled grouper and the tastiest mashed potatoes ever!
The drive home was pretty miserable for us...I think it took like 15+ hours. We stopped way to many times. I thought of you when we hit Louisville. We still have about 4 hours to go. Did you get your so wal sticker?

Here's another one.. She really did absolutely love it. Didn't like the taste of the saltwater too much, though.

He mostly skimboarded at Grayton and then at the Dunes. I don't have the most athletic kid but boy, he can skimboard. So I guess it wasn't him. He skateboards at home so I think that's why it seemed to come naturally. Check out pictures in my album. I also took movies of him with my camera. I love that feature.

Your neice is adorable. Playing with little ones at the beach is so much fun. The sand keeps them occupied for hours!

Ah, okay. There was a boy out there who looked similar, that tried all week long to get the skimboarding thing down. He'd throw the board WAY too far, so by the time he caught up with it and jumped on, it just stopped. I felt bad for the little guy..

Typing was one of the most benificial courses I took in high school. Obviously I didn't pay much attention to spelling

Speling is over rated as long as you got smilies
