How is it that taking the rental vehicle the gas gauge is always just shy of full, but upon filling the vehicle before turn-in, the needle is above full. Is this a conspiracy or have I no life? The rental folks said the fueling charge was 8 dollars per gallon....nice!

Murphy's law, a friend of mine drove to Pensacola from Panama City Beach and on the way back to PCB he looked in the middle console and discovered a bag of pot. Freeked him out so bad he almost drove off the side of I-10. He stopped at the next rest area and flushed it. On the bright side he didn't have to fill it up and got a refund on the rental when he complained.

Can you tell that I'm putting off grading final exams and doing anything even remotely productive today other than updating my renters' website re digging in the sand? I must have, like, a kajillion posts today.

I think I'm gonna put my laptop on standby and take you all out of your misery for being my playmates for the day.

Later, dudes.

wtf?

He doesn't smoke pot and can't due to an allergy. The biggest reason he was freeked out was due to his liquor liscense, drug conviction equals no liquor liscense.

Publix brand yogurt has increased in price 25% during the last week. They just don't tell you. Last week, the container size was 8oz, and this week, it was reduced to 25% less, at 6 oz, though the price per container stayed the same. Usually, the food companies reduce the quantity only a little bit, or they will completely make-over the packaging. This 6 oz container felt like a baby-sized portion. I noticed it immediately. More profit for Publix for a while, until the price catches up to the container size.

What I don't get at Publix is why the small box of Publix garbage bags is less expensive per bag than the large box. And my manicurist and I were talking about saving money on food and buying large packages of chicken. We both hate handling raw chicken, but we are willing to do so to save money. After my manicure, I stopped by Publix, and they had a manager's special on large packs of chicken breasts. The packages said 20% off, and the price tag said $4.29 per pound. Yet the smaller packs that I normally buy said $3.99 per pound. A meat department employee just happened to be nearby. I asked him if the sticker price on the big packs included the 20% off. He said yes. I said that it didn't make sense that the large packs cost more per pound than the small ones. He said that it was a manager's special. I said, "A manager's special to charge more money?" Does not make sense to me.:bang:

They do this all the time - jack up the price, then "reduce it" as a special and make you think you're saving $$$. It's really easy to catch on certain items (like when a bottle of wine goes up $2 but is on special for it's regular price ), but I'm sure less OCD shoppers think they're getting bargains! :bang:
