We went to breakfast at Red Bar. There were some characters there as usual. One couple came in, the man with a bird on his shoulder, ordered Bloody Marys, then ate breakfast outside. This was 9:30 AM. Beautiful sunny day. I love Grayton Beach -- so funky!

There are TONS of people at the yard sale. Unbelievable. I saw SJ and bdarg and bdarg's MIL today.


Edit: Saw many other SoWallers (plus the nice guy with the bird ) when we went back later on our bicycles because we couldn't find a parking space near Seaside. Yes, Minnie. Funn day!

Sometimes I forget that when you click on a link, information like your location can be collected. Scary. Once one of the profs where I teach got a gentle FYI from the IT director that he really shouldn't be going to porn sites while on campus.

I hate running. I hate how I can't breathe and my joints get stiff. I hate getting all sweaty, and then having to go take a shower while I'm still hot, and then my hair is never quite dry during the day. (My hair takes FOREVER to dry.) I hate that all the running I did a couple of years ago sped up my metabolism...

Okay, I don't hate that. But I hate that I could eat all I wanted to when I was running (did I mention that I hate running?) and now that I don't run I still want to eat Little Debbies. Apparently I love Little Debbies and chocolate ice cream and steak and pizza more than I hate to run, because I'm going to start running again in the morning.

Thank you for letting me vent. (I hear that raucous sex will also raise one's metabolism. I just can't catch a break.)
