I really want to trust you here. Bosch over Maytag? I have figured out it is possible with the lower profile pedestal. I like the fewer number of buttons to push and the clean lines. No need the spray paint, but love me some maytag cheese!

Yes, you can get any of these front loaders w/o pedestals, as they nickel and dime you for them. They do have two heights in the pedestals, which might help you...placing these machines off the ground onto a pedestal will be so much easier on the back. I have always purchased white w/d. Look cleaner to me and my cabinents in the laundry are white, too, so it is a no brainer for me to save $200!

I need to go take a nap so I can go with Mr. K later to pick the machines out. I like my man to go with me....so he can pull out his credit card.

P.S. I have been up since 3 am and I am in a zombie like state.
yes, bosch is good....also touch/feel the build quality on samsung, and always figure in the cost of a 5 year warranty from a trusted retailer like lowes in case you have issues after a year. i have no problem with maytag. whirlpool duets have some really angry owners if i'm to believe the reviews on epinions.

Uh-oh - day late. I just saw the new Maytag W/D commercial and it's got one of those big red neck trucks with ginormous tractor tires driving over all the maytags - strong and built tough!

Sounds more like a Ford Ad - Hmmm, I wonder if it was a Ford ad????

:floor:...please keep up, Bobster. Now, let me know about those "satisfied" customers of the whirlpool duet...I am the proud owner of both the w and the d. I hope the deal of the century doesn't come back to bite me in the rear!

Oh, and on those extended warranties...the guy at Best Buy gave us an opportunity and I asked for the pamphlet...Mr. K opened it up and the first thing he read is it was covered by...AIG! No thanks.

My mom just bought the Duet duet because Lowe's told them that they have received the least complaints about those machines and about Whirlpool in general. Lowe's told them that they get the most complaints about the LG machines; the salesman actually told them not to buy those.

I think they've had them about a month, and Mom absolutely loves them. Between the large capacity and the wonderful way they spin, the clothes aren't as soggy when they come out of the washer, so it doesn't take forever for them to dry. They didn't get an extended warranty, but the manufacturer's warranty is for a year. They already had to have the washer fixed, but that was because of a torn gasket--we think mom closed a button in the door. They didn't have to pay anything for the repair.

The FFF cat loves them, too. I'm doing my laundry over there because of my low well. A couple of weeks ago I was putting clothes in the washer and he jumped on top to watch. He disappeared behind the machine, and I didn't think anything of it until I opened the drawer to get detergent out and there he was--surprise!

What gets me about that commercial is that they have a disclaimer to not do that.

Seriously, we are so sue happy that we now have to be sure to warn people not to buy 20+ wash machines, line them up, start them, and drive a monster truck over them "at home"!

Pucking lawyers are messing w/ natural selection big time!

It is so weird staying at my sister's house since someone is renting our house. Our dog is confused. She senses that we are a few hundred yards from home, but yet are not there.

I goofed up on rental dates. I thought the guests were checking out yesterday, not today. OOPS! I don't know what we would have done if we had driven down, found our house occupied, and not had sis as a backup. Thanks, sis and BIL.

I still like the Xanax/Lortab combo, washed down with Mikes.:drink:

Happy, relaxed, feeling no pain, and ready to sleep without dreams...

I wasn't in Buckhead - getting a cab would have been easy in a city, actually. I wasn't driving, though. :D

If I was a pill popper, I'd take those benadryls all the time. Xanax/Lortab sounds like quite a cocktail, too!!

I think one more night of bendryl and I will be rested, caught up and no longer pollen head! I'm cured.

Jesus loves me.
I've actually read most of the Bible (and understand it), talk to God daily, try to improve people's lives, and don't start Holy Wars or tell people they're going to hell.

And I hedged my bets by hitting the Holy Door at the Vatican for the Jubilee in 2000 a couple times. ;-)

Scooterbug44 - technically only been sinning for about 9 years!

You know I just enjoy telling y'all you're going to hell.:biggrin:

When I went to New Orleans with BB, FFF, and my former future fiance friend, we saw a t-shirt that my FFFF just loved: "Jesus loves you, but the rest of us think you're an @$$hole."
