Random Thoughts

We have one here that's pretty successful. Haven't been there. We had another one that was only a year old, and it was cool. I went once. They had everything from dinner to snacks to drinks (a full bar). I loved it. Then one day about two months ago, the staff showed up to work and it was bolted up tight..with a sign that said.."sorry".

The ones in Ft. Walton were great, except for the smoking. After trying them a few times me and the wife decided it was not worth it.

Hey, congrats on 1000 posts!!

We still have a drive in theater here in Memphis, has 4 screens. I was at a drive in theater in HS and it got hit by tornado while there, blew the screen away and turned many cars over.

The one here has a playground for kids and picnic tables so you eat without taking the food back to the car, its just the best fun ever.

I hope they never close it. There is also one South of Memphis, in North Mississippi, not far from Tunica where the casinos are, Road Trip.

I thought it was just people who went to the beach on vacation that left their brains at home, boy was I wrong! The mountain was full of people who seemed to be the direct descendents of Forrest Gump and Britney Spears!

I have never seen so many idiots on the ski hill as I did yesterday. Witnessed 3 ugly full-on collisions, Mama Scooterbug had a close call, and even Papa Scooterbug almost got run over a couple times (bear in mind he's 6'-4" and 200+ pounds and skies in a bright red jacket so he's not exactly hard to see).

I thought it was just people who went to the beach on vacation that left their brains at home, boy was I wrong! The mountain was full of people who seemed to be the direct descendents of Forrest Gump and Britney Spears!

I have never seen so many idiots on the ski hill as I did yesterday. Witnessed 3 ugly full-on collisions, Mama Scooterbug had a close call, and even Papa Scooterbug almost got run over a couple times (bear in mind he's 6'-4" and 200+ pounds and skies in a bright red jacket so he's not exactly hard to see).

sounds like a blast. don't forget pix to go with your report upon your return, wench! I'm giving your some sugah (rep) for reporting in from your vacay (even though I think you're crazy for doing so).

File this under "mixed blessings:" I got a new office this week. The band teacher I was filling in for came back, so I'm just teaching drama and serving as the in-house sub through the end of the year. I was in the band director's office, so they gave me the old drama office. Very exciting--I didn't have to worry about anyone else's stuff, and I have a HUGE WINDOW! The other office was literally underground and only had a window looking into the band room.

So I opened the huge, dark wood shades today...and had an excellent view of a giant brick wall on the other side of a concrete slab. At least I can see what the weather is like. (Raining like a mofo!)

Where did you go, exactly? I echo the need for pics...

Don't know that I'll have ski hill pics as I have enough stuff in my coat pockets w/out adding a camera to collection, but I will definitely have new snow and puppy pics!

Just had a great day of skiing at a Sowal style ski hill - no condos, discount on lift ticket if you carpool, dogs are welcome, and a section of the parking lot is designated "the beach". No orange logos or private security to be seen, just lots of folks enjoying a great day!

Make sure Mother Nature is aware of this. :roll:

Given her behavior in the last week here, I've decided she's crazy.
