The past couple weeks I've seen several dead baby sharks along the shoreline.
Are people catching and dumping them? Or did they die themselves, then wash up ashore (not enough to eat?)
I saw six this morning. What does this mean? It's so sad.

I was thinking it could be red tide too.
They found some dead shark pups in Fort Meyers in March.

The small shark has a rounded, shovel-like head and feeds by swimming across the ocean floor and moving its head across the bottom , looking for disturbances.
That physical description matches these little sharks.
Thank you, Mango.

Your welcome Cil. I never knew Red Tide could "hang out on the bottom" which I am assuming the scientist meant water. I learned something new, unless I read it wrong.
