Wendy's manager shot over chili sauce

A manager at a fast-food restaurant was shot several times in the arm early Tuesday trying to protect the chili sauce, authorities said.
A man in the Wendy's drive-through argued with an employee because he wanted more of the condiment, police said. The worker told the customer that restaurant policy prohibited a customer from getting more than three packets.
The man insisted on 10, reports said. The employee complied, but police said the customer wanted even more.
The manager came out to speak to the man, said Miami-Dade police spokesman Mary Walter. The customer then shot the manager, who was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The customer fled in his vehicle with a female passenger, authorities said.

I had heard that it was ketchup, which the person at the window wouldn't give out more than the alotted 3 package maximum. I guess that employee learned that rules are guidelines, especially when it comes to the sauce.
On the other hand, what kind of crackhead shoots someone over not getting enough sauce? What ever happened to demanding a refund and going elsewhere for lunch?
EDIT: just made me think about the other thread regarding tipping counter service employees. See the crap that counter service staff has to put up with?

:lolabove: I was always frightened when my girls were closing at some o the sandwich shops they've worked at. Seems like that is when the bad guys/gals bust in shootin' up people for a couple hundred bucks. :pissed: Someone accidentally leaves a door open then powee. 😱

I just saw an interview with the employee who was shot. He said that after the guy demanded ten packs of the hot sauce, he pointed for the guy to drive down to the door, and the he didn't even get the chance to give the guy the extra sauce before being shot. That is messed up.

Remember the old finger in the chili stunt that the lady used to try to get millions of $$$ out of Wendy's? I haven't eaten at Wendy's since. (not that I ate there prior to the incident. :floor:)
