First day of hurricane season, first storm of the season. How convenient.

First storm for the Gulf, but second named storm for the Atlantic. Where have you been hiding? :funn:Let me rush out and fight the vacationers for some tax free batteries and radios.:leaving:

For some reason I think I'll be taking many evacucations this summer! Hopefully we'll get some good rain out of it!

Tru dat.

Course nobody paid much attention to that little blob of rain Andrea. If it don't swirl, it don't count.

At least this should clear out some seats at Seabar so I can watch Dikki Du without being squashed.

They must be expecting Barry to gain some tremendous speed if they are predicting landfall in less than 24.

If it stays that far east, I doubt we will see any rain. Today's constant overcast skies only looked like rain was coming, but nothing yet.

No problem. I've got 6 friends driving down from Memphis to Seagrove in the AM, so the Memphis/Panhandle balance won't be upset.

No, she has been there a week already. Came in there last Saturday, $2500 dollars later I believe. 😱

Hey TreeFrog, haven't seen many posts from you in a while. Well, the Memphis balance will be back again when we come down the end of August. I see Tennessee cars galore everytime we are down there anyway. Several from Shelby County. I tell you, it's paradise when we come down there, and then reality hits when we pull back in the driveway here. Reality of the worst kind. :(

Interesting, the path looks like it's going to affect my family in Western Massachusetts. It shouldn't be too bad by then - like a big storm only -- but it's interesting that they'll get the first hurricane before SoWal! They got one last year or the year before, too.

We finally began getting winds from TS Barry yesterday, and they continued and even increased in strength today.
