Hi, SoWallers,

I feel a bit like the Wizard of Oz these days, confined to the Boards for communications from my favorite beach! How goes it this summer? So far, so good with the storms. Keep up the good work! And I note that the State of FL is now chasing an initiative to cap property taxes. Of course, this also caps services. A lot like Proposition 13 in CA, which has its advantages and disadvantages.

Weighing in from Bainbridge right now, where I have watched a huge bald eagle sitting on a submerged stump at low tide for two days straight. He's a beautiful guy, but scary and my neighbors here are watching their small pets. Nature is right on top of you here. Back to CA on Thursday, where I will have to buy Butter a lettuce-wrapped double meat patty at the In-and-Out Burger drive-through in order to atone.

Hope to see all of you in late July/early August. :rofl: :clap: :wub:

:wave: hi donna! lovely rain here in sowal these days... showers off and on.. heating up with lots of humidity... getting ready to hibernate in just a week or two!

Butter is great, although overindulged with doting parents in both Napa Valley and Bainbridge. He is making the most of it and is far too familiar with the drive-through window at In-and-Out Burger, where he gets a lettuce wrapped double meat patty to atone for absences. By the time we get to the pick-up window, he is drooling and barking at the servers.

Weather is glorious here today, warm even. Yet everything is emerald green. The gulls are dropping freshly picked clams onto my deck railings to crack them open for a snack. Tomorrow back to CA for a week, then back up here.

I am going to try for a week at Conch Out from July 29-August 4. What is happening that week, anyway? :rofl:
