So - I don't mind the road bikers. As long as they don't take over the whole road. But this morning I was driving home from the gym on 30-A and there was a group of 5-6 road bikers taking up the whole right side of the road. I couldn't pass due to on coming traffic. Plus I'm not a big fan of passing on 30-A even if it's 6:30 AM. Please - if you are going to ride in a pack, line it up 😀 . Or at least line it up when you see three cars behind you.

I know this will cause a never ending debate, but I really think bikers should show as much consideration for drivers as the drivers should show them. I find it very pompous and presumptuous of bikers to assume that the drivers will be careful! Even on 30A there can be road rage....:(

If they are more than two wide, it is illegal, and if they are two wide, they are to be flowing with the speed of the traffic, as long as that speed is not breaking the speed limit. There is something about people in groups of more than one, which makes the individuals in the group, not think too much. Group riding has it's benefits of being able to increase the rates of speed and going longer distances than riding solo, but I prefer to ride alone. Please don't lump us all together. (not that you did, in this case) I also stop at stop signs. :yikes:

I guess if you are only supposed to go 15-25 mph on most of 30A...it would stand to reason that if you try to pass a biker going that speed...you are breaking the law...:scratch: a reason to rethink this whole thing.

They are not moving anywhere near that fast per the scooterbug speedometer :cool:.
