This is what Philippa and her boyfriend did last night. They came in with a small, roundish watermelon. They cut the top off, got two spoons, and proceeded to eat the innards right out of it. When it was completely hollow (and they were stuffed), they carved a Halloween face into it. Then they went outside to the lawn and put a smoke bomb inside it, lit it, and watched it explode into smithereens.

hmmm, sounds like funn except i don't like watermelon. i do however like to blow things up ...now don't you be trying to make dry ice bombs. Though simple to make, I'm fairly certain that they are extremely dangerous, given the fact that about 85% of the videos, including the "how to" videos, for dry ice bombs on youtube, show the bomb exploding in someone's hands, often drawing blood. Idiots beware. The Darwin Awards are always searching for new nominees.

Well then, I'll have to bring one down for the Grayton Beach sunset on the weekend. Ours definitely don't cost $9!!!!!!!!
Although I gotta tell ya, I take no responsibility for what my kids do it first.

I wouldn't mind paying $9 or even more for a wonderfully big juicy ripe melon. I haven't seen one yet this year. except for a few that jenny picked up at cotton's at the end of May - they were small but really beautiful. I think they were $8.
