Hey all! Thank you so much for your many welcomes to the board. After lurking for a loooonnnngg time I decided to join in on the fun! I want to ask a question to those of you who are "transplants" - not native to SoWal, but living there....How did you come to move to SoWal? Is it very expensive to live there? What is your employment? I ask these questions because I live in Kentucky but I want to move badly to your neck of the woods, and I have no clue where to start. Thanks in advance!

I moved here 6 years ago this month. My mom and sister lived here so that was the draw. We had a family beach house that my DH and I lived in until we built our own home. I love it here and would not trade places for anything......or anywhere....
