RO, what's the water temp? That is beautiful water and mtns.:wub:That water is cold, but if you've lived in the snowy mountains for a while, it seems more tolerable. Tahoe is a very deep lake, I think second deepest to Crater Lake :wub::wub: in the USA, and down deep, the water temps are close to freezing year-round. In the summer time, I'd guess the surface temps get close to 70F degrees, but that is cold for me in the summer time. That is about the same temp as the springs around here, which can feel very cold in when the air temp is 95F degrees.

I have heard it may get up to 70 near the surface but only for a short time. I just can't believe how clear it is. Looks Like SoWal on a clear day.

If you think it is clear, go check out Crater Lake, and it is blue as the sky. My pics are pre-digital camera, but google some.
check this one out.

If you go to South Lake Tahoe, eat here. My friend opened it several years ago. She now lives in Vail, but her business partner has taken it over.
Sounds yummy!!
I live about 2 1/2 hours from Tahoe, sadly though we had some fires there recently and much of the woodlands around South Tahoe were burned...
But it is so beautiful still even flying over it as you fly into Sacramento, the water is gorgeous!!!!
