At 3 years old I felt Joanne Castle and her WHITE GRAND PIANO were the most exciting things in the whole wide world. I was certain that if our old brown upright piano was WHITE that I'd be able to pound those ivories like Joanne Castle. My parents had been painting the living room & there was some leftover paint...I convinced my older brother (who was 7), and was charged with "watching me" while the folks were outside milking the cows, that we should paint the piano white. He got his butt spanked good & has never let me forget that it was all my fault because of my "brilliant plan" to become Joanne Castle! :roll:

My uncle (that I mentioned in another thread) and I loved that show. One Halloween we were Barnabas Collins and Angelique Bouchard Collins, my family was, shall we say, very lenient and we had the most amazing costumes. My uncle had to have the suit, cane and they even bought him a big black onyx ring to wear on his index finger. I wore one of my Mom's white peignoir's with a painted face and had my hair piled up like she wore hers. Angelique was even my white toy poodle's middle name!:funn: Do y'all remember that Kate Jackson was on that show?
