Ignorance is bliss. ;-)

True. My kids were good at sharing. A little editing would have been better for me. I don't think I'm supposed to know everything once they've reached a certain age. I remember asking who the smiling middle aged man was in the pictures posed surrounded by all the happy beautiful college girls. Oddly enough he was hotel security. If hotel security is in the pictures of your vacation, chances are he's had to make too many trips to your suite. We won't even talk about the keg stands etc. Well at least they wore panties. Just remember moms, when your adult children show you pictures that shock you, botox helps keep the expressions under control.

Oddly enough I find myself WANTING to tell my mother about the parties I threw while they were out of town and funny stories when I was younger. Most of my stories start " You know how I told you this _________, well this is really what happened _________." I don't think she likes them too much.

Oh yes I've been there. You seem like a wonderful, warm hearted, smart, funny girl and I know your mom is very proud of you. (as she should be) But don't tell everything, she'll just worry. Kitty is right, ignorance is bliss.

My kids learned to not tell us anything until many years after the fact. So that way we would not be too upset with them. The funny thing is that we usually knew what was going on even if they didn't know we knew. All in all, we still get lots of laughs about some of the stunts they pulled.
