The cons of bottled water have been featured a lot in the news lately. NPR did quite a bit of coverage on it today:

Tootsie-Pediatric fluoride supplementation is based on a sliding scale with age and amount of flouride in the tap water as variables. I am pretty sure your young Jedi should be getting 0.25mg daily (but my books are in storage, so go with whatever Suzy has you on!)

Is this a prescription form of flouride? DO any of your kiddos get fouride treatments a the dentist?

Miss Kitty-Ozarka was the bottled water of choice in Shreveport. If I remember correctly, it is bottled municipal water from Arkansas (or maybe Missouri).

:nono1: ...leave my Ozarka water alone! I will NOT stop! I am a card carrying water snob.

BTW...this bottle says, SOURCE: A blend of Piney Woods Spring, Wood County, TX and Clear Springs, Wood County, TX. But, I once remember it saying Nacogdoches, TX. All I know is, that their "tap" water beats our tap water hands down! Dallas water taste like chemicals.

Bacteria grows in water. I am surprised that these water bottlers are not adding addictive drugs, such as caffeine, into the water.

This was on today's Walton Sun site:

And here's the latest. To my point about the big corporations....

Um, actually Avian spelled backwards is Navia, but I digress.
TreeFrog, if you missed the original NPR broadcast of the story, that was a big part of the angle of the story; pointing out the fact that the American public successfully bought into one of history's biggest marketing scams.

Okay, here's my olive branch...I bought a huge bottle of Ozarka and am now refilling my little bottle. I will throw said little bottle in the recycle bin every day. Now, leave my Ozarka water alone!

Treefrog beat me to it! Most bottled water is TAP water!!! :floor: I love it! So much for the health benefits of drinking bottled water instead of that nasty water out of the faucet.
