FYI - Word on the street is that there is a Gator (not a UF Gator fan) in the canal between Morrison and Ricker, so mind your kids and small dogs if they are swimming in there. I haven't heard any estimate on the length, so it could be a 1.5 ft gator or a 14ft gator. :idontno:

If you aren't familiar with those two, you have nothing to worry about. Even if you are, there still shouldn't be too much worry.

we have seen a gator twice in the lake there between blue mountain and grayton on 30a the one that you can pull off in the grass right next to the water. It was around 6 or 7 feet. It came pretty close to us the one time when we pulled off.

I saw a gator last night in Western Lake, just after sunset, but I was rushing to the comedy show, so no photo.

Too far away to tell the size. What does a hungry gator look like?

That may be the best question ever!

I would like to report that I see "Gator" often walking two dogs near Eastern lake. :yikes:

You have never met my neighbor Gator? :idontno:

She is a very nice lady - and lives on the next street. Seriously.

She is indeed a very nice lady, and her husband visits this board. However, saying her name makes the tendons in my toes want to draw up. ;-)

That is not an American Alligator. That is a huge Croc.

Yep. I was just quoting the kid, who was wrong.

Crocogator, as my dad calls 'em.

This one has been there for several years and is probably about 4-5'. I live close by and it did bite my dog on the head several years ago and approached a boat I was in last year so I am certain it isnt afraid of people. As said before ...be careful there.

if two = a mess, many saw them. probably siblings. the weird part is that they seemed to be trolling the dock for handouts, which would be a HUGE bummer for all concerned. there are digital photos, i believe, which hopefully surface soon. they were both about 3-3.5 ft long.
