YOGA on the Beach (Grayton)

For those of you who are interested, Bridgette and Jennifer are teaching YOGA on the beach at Grayton at 6pm daily (Monday - Thursday I think). Look for one of them on the eastern side of the Western Lake Outflow. Bring a big beach towel, or a large floor mat to keep the sand off of you. Don't quote me on prices, but I think they charge only $10-15 per person, and you get to take in the Sunset while you are there. I can think of no better place to practice Yoga.

All levels of experience are welcome, including those with zero experience.

Bring your swimsuit and take a dip in the Gulf when you finish class.

Too bad it's not on Saturday this week, I hear that the beach may be getting a spring (actually summer) cleaning

Will they still be doing this the week of Aug. 11? I'll be in SoWal then and may want to try some yoga on the beach. I haven't really done yoga (the weight training's doing well), but I'm ready to try it, especially if it's at sunset on the beach.

As far as I know, they will be there. Look for them at Grayton Beach, on the eastern side of the lake outflow/inflow.

Tell GB that she will like the class. It is open to all levels of experience, including those who have no experience.

Be sure to bring a good size towel or mat, and let her know that she will get a little bit sandy, but there are beach showers at Grayton, and the Gulf makes for a nice dip after Yoga.

from GB:

have you been talking to the Otter? I told him yesterday I need a competitive yoga class, which I'm guessing if you ask the experts is an oxymoron. But not until I've practiced a little :floor:

Thanks smilie! I won't mind the dip in the ocean 'cause I'll be all sweaty, like I am right now after walking/jogging. Oh my gosh it's humid down here. Is a heart rate of 196 bad :idontno:  Tomorrow i bike!

what night(s) will you be at yoga? what about tootsie & the other gulls?

No, a heart rate of 196 isn't too bad. That is around my maximum heart rate, and I have exceeded it several times without dying, YET.

You're supposed to keep it in the 140's for maximum endurance. Of course, I think my resting heart rate is higher than that :floor:

Sooooooooooo...........

Nobody's answered my question yet....
Monday?
Tuesday?
Wednesday?
Thursday?

All of the above??

I'm reviving this because I need to know if there's still yoga on the beach going on. What about any drop-in sessions anywhere?
