No to rain on your parade, but be careful. I warn all of my friends on staff that our employer has been known to monitor Internet use by staff members, making sure they're working instead of playing. One of the administrative assistants was sending out dirty jokes/photos from her work email address. How stupid is that?! I told her that every email she sends out is backed up on the server. If they wanted to fire her, they could use that against her because that's a firing offense. I told her to use her hotmail account and asked her to stop sending them to me (or if she did, use my off-campus address). The only problem with that is that if she sends them from work, they can still trace her hotmail email back to her. The only time I've heard about them spying on faculty email is once when a faculty member was accused of child molestation.

I know and I tease about getting in trouble; but he doesn't really mind as long as I get my work done. He doesn't even like to be called my boss. He says we work together that I don't work for him. He's really wonderful and even made me a Partner in the firm a few years ago so I know I'm lucky to have such a wonderful place to work.
