That is the rub. Of course you can go back to sticking your head in the sand, as worrying gets one nowhere, but in the coffin. However, these threats are serious. They are basically running ads saying that we are going to attack the White House, the symbol of the Presidency.

I agree. And I hate it. They have said repeatedly that their intentions are big. I am just saying that I don't like to think about it. The image should concern us all, and we should all be extra aware and pray that our intel thwarts any and all attacks on our great country.

I think the options are supposed to be fight for your freedom, or convert to Islam.

I was already mad enough at them for their destruction of centuries and millenium old monuments & artifacts in the countries they controlled.

IMO, the British are the only ones who should ever be able to claim they burnt the White House!

Are you sure? Go to England and see what is happening there. The conversions are working their way in, just as Christianity is slowly working its way into other parts of the world. You won't wake up one morning and find that everyone has converted over night, but if you look around the world, you will find Islam everywhere. Maybe you don't know this, but about a month or two ago, I heard a very nice prayer on the floor of the Senate at the opening. Surprise! It wasn't given by a Christian. Interestingly, there was chatter on the floor by Christians and two Senators left the floor in protest. If these people had listened to the actual prayer, they would have realized that the prayer was nothing more than a blessing for the day and the people. I don't get the outrage. To me, it seems that we are all searching for God. God, by definition is THE supreme being or power. Whether people call God by any name, really doesn't matter. God is still God. The place where people draw lines in the sand is with "religion," and the "written word of God." I ask, can God's language be silent and therefore the "written word of God" really be the "written word of (hu)man?" God is powerful enough to defend God, and a bunch of Muslims or Christians, don't have to do it for God. We need God, not the other way around. ;-) Just my simple thoughts on the whole religious war crap.

the supreme being takes on many forms, depending on who is the believer. there really isn't a better one than the other. there is room enough for only one, and they are all that one. it's really easy to get ahold of, once one takes a step back from back from one's fanaticism. i really don't think anyone's supreme being would condone what's being done in her/his name around the globe.

This letter sent out to S0-Wal readers would really please Osama Bin Laden and his group of religious fanatics. While we should all be aware of the reality of an impending attack, we should not be frozen with fear and worry created by unfounded information like that meant to create hysteria. When that happens then they have won!
