Nope... kurt and Lisa_at_the_beach are the one's the do it for a living. I just take lots of pics for the heck of it.

Your pix are beautiful. You should do photography for a living. I like to snap pix in my backyard. I live on a bayou. Here's a blue heron that hangs around out there. I named him Herbert:

Welcome Wishly. We are mostly not photographers. Kurt runs this board and website as well as Graytonbeach.com. He is a very talented photographer. We have a few other pros on board but they don't post much, if ever. I am far from being a photographer, but I am working on chaging that. We would love to see more bayou pics.

Hello wishly....I bet you will be happy here! Lots of nice, helpful folks. I am so excited you will be sharing pix from another part of this beautiful area! I am guilty of staying mostly near the beach when down there...but have promised myself to really explore more this fall. I look forward to your pix and some education about your part of paradise!!

Welcome! I would love to see bayou photos. I know a little something about the beach, but nothing about the bayou. It would be great to get some photos that bring us closer to the bayou, just as we get closer to the beach from the photos that are posted on this discussion group.

Also sueshore thanks for the info I never even new that about the name under the user name. Always wondered, but just didn't ask. Also I just noticed it did change. Last time I remember I was still a beach tourist, now I'm a beach dreamer, that's so true. :clap_1:

Congrats ladybug!! I try not to look at the # of posts....it's just a constant reminder of my problem!! It's all good though...and a nice problem to have! Keep on dreaming of the beach!!!!

I'll narrate in order of pix:

1. Pelican sitting in the water.
2. 2 bald eagles sitting in a tall pine on the beach in my backyard.
3. A goose family swimming off my shore.
4. Said goose family walking around in my backyard before swimming off.
5. A Canada goose was silly enough to come up out of the bayou and sit in my pond! My pond is only 3' around. He's about that size himself! :laughing1
