A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband.

Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen.

"Careful," he said, "CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my GOD!

You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my GOD! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful . CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!"

The wife stared at him. "What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?"

The husband calmly replied, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving."

(or flying in Flyforfunn's case)

You're not going to believe this BB, but when I was reading this joke (before I got to the punchline) all I could think is that husband was exactly like MY husband sounds...when I'm driving. He's the world worse back seat driver. I never drive anymore with him because I can't stand the way he tenses up and bellows out "directions" to me. Worse than the husband in the joke telling his wife how to cook eggs.

Oh Mermy really?? He seems like such a kind gentle man who would never raise his voice at anyone, much less his beloved Mermy. Were you drag racing or something?

Mom is so bad that on a recent road trip Dad had enough, so he just gave her the wheel and had her drive through Chicago!

Typical Dad driving lesson comments "OK, now next time, let the car stop completely before shifting into Park" or "and that would be the curb you just ran over".

Mom ............... just like the egg story! I've been telling her for years (in a variety of situations" that when she screams about something I will either hit the brakes or immediately stop what I am doing, so she SHOULDN"T yell if either of those are not the desired result!

:lolabove: ...I'll tell him you said so. He has a bum eye and has been without one contact. He drove to the airport the other night and almost missed three exits and did completely miss the last one because I kept my mouth shut. :bang: Then he has the nerve to tell me he had only one contact in and can't read the signs!!!!! That ws enough for me...he drives me no where until he gets that eye back.

P.S. you know his nickname is Mr. Magoo, don't you? ;-)

PPS. Most people are a bit hesitant to drive with me...I am a bit fast and furious.

I want y'all to know that Merman read this thread and I gave him every opportunity to defend himself but he just laughed. I am going to assume it is in recognition of HIS driving, not those scurrilous comments Miss Kitty made about MY driving. :floor:

 :welcome: I fly better than flyforfunn!:lie: Yes, I take the yoke but I am mainlythe co-pilot (so is our dog, you can see her in my profile) I am also the navigator and I do the radio. Honestly I am very chatty (can't you tell) and he says that is the only time I am quiet is on take off and landings!:funn: We fly into both but I like Panama City airport better because they don't forget us up in the air. They do it all the time in Destin. We have to circle out over the ocean and come back in.
Which one do y'all fly into?
