Speaking of forecasters, doesn't it seem like the Weather Channel has preganant ladies all the time. They must have one heck of a maternity leave package.

I was told by someone who used to work at WJHG that they are a big "jumping off" point for up and coming news anchors and meterologists. The sad thing is that when we get a good one a lot of them end up heading off to bigger markets.
As long as Jason Kelly stays we are all in good hands, ESPECIALLY during Hurricane season. Apparently The Weather Channel has offered him a job (or maybe its the Nat'l Hurricane Center) but so far he is staying loyal to our area.

I can't take too much credit, my wife pointed it out to me but . It's amazing at one time we counted three or four. I think it is down to one now.

Considering how little a lot of small market tv stations pay, I'm surprised Jason and Neysa have stayed in PC as long as they have.

One of the household jokes during hurricane season is that every time WJHG does the ritual chaining of the intern to the Hathaway Bridge for the obligatory 'conditions are deteriorating' shot during storms, that turns out to be the part of the intern's audition tape that gets them the plumb on-camera job in Oklahoma City because everyone loves a good hurricane money shot like that.

But what about Elizabeth Holmes? What happened? She was losing weight and was kinda looking good. Not like a librarian...but kinda like "a little on the trashy side".....oh yea.....

This is true about the lousy pay. About 5 years ago when I first moved here I went to buy a TV at Circuit City in PC. A few days later I was watching the new TV when, who do I see, but my TV salesman, Jason Kelly! A friend of mine puchased a TV from Jason at Circuit City last year. Jason was a very informative and straightshooting salesman.

We bought our TV from Jason as well, knowing he was the weatherman. That was kind of cool. Sometime later there was an announcement on the air that he was a proud papa of a baby girl, again. I think it is his fourth...and the oldest is maybe, six?

Not weather-related, but I still miss Red Holland and Cap'n Scotty. I found that Scotty was on the Fox channel on the last f'n morning he was on. Hopefully Red is enjoying retirement and his store.
