Has anyone seen this? Warning, may not be for extremely squeemish, although when I first heard about it, I thought  , but then heard rave reviews, and that people learned quite a bit and found it fascinating.
I also heard children 10 yrs. and older are allowed in the Exhibit, so I figured it couldn't be all that scary. :idontno:

Not to mention that it is done in an almost artistic and very respectful manner. So I went to the web site and read about it.
Going to see it next weekend.
I heard they have a garbage pail next to the person who had enphysema because people were throwing their cigarettes out.
If this is what it takes to help me quit smoking, so be it.

To help you see what a body really looks like on the inside, this Exhibition uses real human bodies that have been preserved so they do not decay.
There is a page explaining the process of how they do this.

BODIES, The Exhibition

There's a link from above to the official web site which requires a flash player.

UM, I saw it - it was a little TMI for me. I'd prefer NOT to know what I look like on the inside!!! I saw it in Atlanta whenever it was there - the people were of the Asian decent.

The only thing I really learned was why it takes the micro-second from the time you smash your toe until you feel the pain - taking the time for the brain to realize the bump you just felt on your toe is gonna really hurt!!!!:yikes:

I think if I had seen the video of what it was going to be like, maybe I wouldn't have gone!!! We only had one person fall out on the floor while I was there!!!

It was really cool. A little creepy but cool. The whole dissection thing is astounding. The nervous system and and muscular system were probably the most fascinating to me. One case had all the nerves and brain connected and laid out flat. We paid extra for a little remote serves as an audio tour guide. It gave a kids version and an adult version. Dylan said the kids version was like they were speaking to 3 year olds so we opted for the adult version most of the time. Sam and I really liked it while Dylan was somewhat unimpressed. I probably could have saved my money and left him at home. I told him it will help him later on in health class.

Sadly, I have not had an opportunity to see it myself...but my beloved SIL saw it in Las Vegas & couldn't say enough about how fascinating & well presented she found the exhibit.

Yes, it reminded me a lot of an exhibit that would be at our COSI. ( Center of Science and Industry)
