Memphis is getting quite the downpour right now. It has been raining for at least 30 minutes here and has cooled off significantly due to a severe thunderstorm over the area right now. I am sure the yards around here say thank you. I am so glad for the rain. It was much needed. There is quite a lightning show going on right now also.

That settles it. I'm washing it right after classes tonight. I don't care if it's DARK.
Every morning I get up and listen to the news, and the local meteorologist (Flip Spiceland--really
) tells us about all the rain everywhere else, quickly adding, "But there is virtually no chance of any of that making it to the ground here."No rain in more than 20 days. We don't even have dew in the morning.

we ended up with a grand total of just over 2 1/2 inches of rain yesterday. the ground was soaking it up like a sponge...
