Guess they need to keep that beach re-nourishment going indefinitely then. Maybe they can build levees on the beach to protect those multi-million dollar homes and private beach? Or do you think those that had sense enough to by on the north side of 30A will finally get beach front?
EDITYes I do believe that sea levels will rise if the glaciers, ice caps, etc. keeping melting at current rates. Do I think it will cause an exodus? Not until the people along the coast figure out a way to make $$$ off those multi-million dollar homes or get the government to buy them out.

I saw we all move to a midwest floodplain, or an earthquake zone out west. Then again, we could move to the northeast with the blinding snowstorms and deep freezes. Aw heck with it I am staying on the coast.

Here's a question for you, why does everyone get upset when properties get impacted on the beach due to hurricanes yet don't complain when houses are flooded in the Midwest. They are usually both bailed out by the same FEMA, and have flood insurance subsidized by the National Flood Insurance Program :idontno:

I don't know the answer to that question and a lot of other things as well.
But I do not that people expect fair and equal treatment and they like the rules spelled out plain and simple.
