If you spend your time trying to be "right" ....arguing, pressing your opinions and beliefs over someone elses....can you be happy? Does it make you happy if you feel you've "won" the argument or debate? Or is there this tiny speck of an uncomfortable feeling within you. Was it worth it....all that energy you used? I have spent my whole life doing that........I look back and see how much I fought for nothing and how silly I was. That's why I will stay away from talking politics.....and religion. Whatever you believe and then again whatever you fight against you become.
Sooooo would you rather be happy or "prove" you are right?

That's an entirely different question, and I'm going to depart from tradition and give a serious answer.
One of the many carreers I considered was in law. Ultimately I decided against it at the advice of my undergraduate advisor at Belmont, who was valedictorian of her law class at Vanderbilt. She said, "Honey, you would make a terrific litigator, but an unhappy lawyer." When I am provoked to argue about something, it is something that I care about.
Fortunately, I have learned that most things aren't worth arguing. Life is much simpler since I figured that out, and (to answer your question) I am much happier.
I believe it was Lucy van Pelt (Peanuts) who said, "You can save us both a lot of time by seeing things my way."
