Easier to run over a kid when backing out of a parking space in Seaside. I guess the determination of this being a pro or con is in the eye of the beholder.

con - worse gas mileage

pro - you can live in it and travel the country

pro - teaches you to live simply, without a lot of clutter.

con - no real bathtub and usually the showers are made for short people.

con - it is much older than your current vehicle and may not be as in good of a condition.

con - you never know how many stinky people have slept in your bed before you bought it.

Don't even bother to count the number of the cons vs the pros, because I think the pros easily outweigh all of the cons listed. ;-)

not the most practical daily driver, especially in your winter. but great vehicle for running around the southwest in during most of the year. if i didn't have an all wheel drive bus, i'd have one of those.

Besides the bad gas mileage I don't see any other cons.

A pro- I can see the driver of the "Dolphin" wearing some sort of hat. Take your pick. I'm thinking a cowboy hat.

:idontno: how 'bout a raspberrry beret...the kind you find in a second hand store ;-)

Sorry, I had to say that. A cowboy hat would prob'ly rock the house.

any idea of what the gas mileage is on the Dolphin? I see that it has a toyota chasis, and most likely a small engine, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it get pretty good gas mileage on the highway.

How old and how many miles on that puppy?

BIL had one similar, but US chassis, tons of repair bills, rain water leaks, etc.

Loved it!!!!

I lived in a camper for a year when we moved here. Amazing what you learn to live without when you have such limited space.

Don't forget to secure your cabinets:biggrin:
