We got all settled into the room and then I hit the beach!! It was more beautiful than I had ever seen it. I have never been down this time of the year and I was pleasantly surprised at the no crowds and the water was prettier than I had ever seen it!!!! Kelly and I sat at the beach until it was time to head over to Grayton Beach. We were all looking forward to our D&K dinner. We got there earlier than our reservation was for, but they went ahead and seated us. Oh, before we got to D&K's I wanted run by and see Steele Mama. I tried to call her, but didn't get an answer (sorry, I missed you SM!!!!! Next time for sure). So, we get to D&K's and Sherry sat as at "The best table in the house". I have to tell you the view was awesome!!! We started our meal with the Shrimp and Tasso grits appetizer (thanks Jenny for this recommendation), we also ordered the Crab Boulettes. My main course was the Pan?ed Soft Shell Crab Topped with Shrimp Cream Sauce, and Kelly and Crump had the Blackened Tuna and Grilled Gulf Shrimp. It was all WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! Of course when we got there, I asked if Kat was there. She wasn't. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to see her. However, after we sat down Sherry brought the phone to me and told me it was for me. Kat was on the line. She apologized for not being at the Cafe'. I told her of course not to worry about it. It was very sweet of her to call and check on us. Thank you Kat!!!! We had a wonderful meal and everyone took very good care of us!!!!! Oh, we had to get the famous key lime pie to go. We were stuffed when we walked out of there. We ate it later on in the evening. 
After we left D&K's we headed to Publix. It was so nice to go to Publix without all the crowds that we experience in the Summertime. Saturday, we all got up early and was on the beach by 9:00 am. We stayed on the beach all day Saturday. We had some very nice vistors as well. The whole Dargster family came and we had a great time visiting, and playing in the water. What a perfect day, and what made it even better was a surprise visit from Potatovixen. I was so happy to see her and visit with her if only for a short time!!!! Thank you PV, for coming to see me. Ok, I had to get ready for the big game. Whiteyfunn called me earlier in the day and told me that they were going to get the game at Seagrovers house. I was so glad. Whitey came and picked me up. I had my beer on ice and was ready for some Football!!!! I got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Seagrover. How sweet are they??? They are wonderful. Thank you for your hospitality!!!! Did I mention that I got to meet the most perfect dog in the world? Millie!!!! OMG, I am in love with this sweet dog. She is perfect!! After the big game. ROLL TIDE!!!!!! Whiteyfunn and I went to Bud & Alleys. Wow, it was packed. We had a very good time. We walked home. It was a along walk. 
I was already overserved and pretty darn tired, but we made it. Thank you Whiteyfunn for making my trip even more special. Sunday, was a day of rest for me. I stayed on the beach all day. I napped off and on all day. During one of my little catnaps in the late afternoon, I was dreaming of a tall handsome man with beautiful eyes, and a beautiful smile. ;-) When lo and behold I wake up and look to my right to see this person sitting in the chair beside me!!!! I thought I was still dreaming. 
It was none other than SJ. Thank for surprising me and coming to visit. I enjoyed chatting with you on the beach. 
We went and grabbed a Pizza from Angelinas and ate on the porch watching the sunset. Perfect end to a perfect day. We were up early yesterday morning because Crump wanted to go into Destin to get some fish at the ice house to bring back to a friend, and to do some shopping. Desting...UGH. Traffic. I was impatient. We ate lunch at the Boathouse Oyster Bar. I had some really good baked oysters. After we ate we headed home. The traffic was a freaking nightmare. It took us 2 hours to get through Montgomery. Oh, it was awful. If we ever go back on Labor Day weekend, we will add an extra day and not drive back on Labor day.To those of you who I got to see.....I am so happy. To those I didn't, I am sorry I missed you. There will be a next time though!!! My pictures are posted in the my album!!!!!
Critters spotted: A Stingray..big. An at least 6' shark yesterday morning heading straight for a man and his son fishing on the first sandbar.
It scared me. Luckily the guy saw the shark and got out of the water quickly. An unknown jellyfish that got me pretty darn close the....well, I think you already know by now. It hurt!!!! The cutest little sanderlings (thought is was SJ told me they were), cute, cute and I was quick enough to get a couple of pictures of them!!!!Can't wait to get back!!!!
Oh, and for those of you who are wondering, they told us at the Villa's that they will be open until at least January. So, if you want to go and stay there, you still have some time!!!!!!
