Madeline L'Engle

I love children's literature, and her Wrinkle in Time series is some of the best. She also wrote another of the greatest books I've read (and one of the precious few non-fiction books that I've loved,) Walking on Water: Reflections of Faith and Art. I met her once, when I was in Nashville. A great lady, and one of a kind.

I loved A Wrinkle in Time and the other books in the series so much that I thought she was writing just for me.

How lucky you were to meet her! I Googled her today and found this Q&A linked from her Wikipedia page. Fantastic stuff. When I am old I want to be just like this.

She was writer in residence and librarian at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine at one point. I have such a wonderful memory of visiting there...
