Heck, we didn't even go to Italy (on the boatload of FF miles we have, thanks to Pepper) like we'd planned this summer because we didn't want to board her. The person who used to keep her for us has health problems and can't do it. So, if it's an overnight trip and Pepper can't go, I don't go either.

my Lab prefers the Food Network, she likes program where there is more dialogue between people. As to blankets mine prefers sheep skin, she thinks terry cloth means bath time.

Sounds like us. We are trying to plan a Thanksgiving in the mountains for my Mom, and brothers and family since Mom just can't deal with my Dad not being there for the first time and we have to find a place for 3 dogs, 2 very sweet, well behaved labs and a Shih Tzu from hades.
My daughter, said sound like a Party to her.

I think he would enjoy Animal Planet or Sesame Street. They are both educational and you wouldn't have to worry about him learning any bad words.

I didn't know that boarding a dog would be this difficult. I mean i don't know if he like would like to listen to jazz music or if he would rather watch doggy tv does he like terry cloth blankets or sheep skin? anyone have any ideas?

Find a pet sitter...so much easier.

Classical really helps calm the dog. My girls(4 legged) listen to it when I am at my daughter's, and they are left at home alone for a while. Take his own blanket...much more soothing. When Sophie went to be a model at my groomer's contest, she a a bag full of stuff. I wish I could keep him for you as he is so cute!!!
