First, I had a marvelous birthday that was created as a special treat from the moment I woke up until I went to sleep that night. My best ever. Still makes me tear up to think about it.
Second, I want all of you to know that I am doing great even while going through a lot of changes that are amicable but still challenging. (Change is good...you go first!) Everyone is fine, in fact, and life begins anew. I hope that you will be as happy as I am to know that I am keeping Conch Out. My primary residence will be on Bainbridge Island, which continues to enchant me daily. And I am in the process of expanding my winery and resort master planning business with a new and expanded office in Napa. Involves a certain amount of travel, but it is down to a routine now and worth it. The added staff in the new office will help a lot and I will be more than happy to nip down to CA during the rainy months here.
This summer on Bainbridge Island has been glorious, with sunshine and mild temps every day, wildlife spottings by the minute, fun events, and lovely people in my midst. I am involved with the building of a greatly expanded public library here and making new and interesting friends all the time. The purchase of a new kayak is looming and a grand piano keyboard is being delivered on Wednesday. So the house will be filled with music and the harbor in front of the house will soon be filled with Butter and me in a kayak! Butter sends a heartfelt "Arf!" and I will just say that I miss all of you and will see you with many stories and other lore in October.

Nice report Donna!!!!!
