GW just stated that he hopes for a balanced budget by the year 2012. Why does it take five years to balance a budget? (No answers needed.)

No big deal, because your budget affects only you, not the whole freaking Country. We aren't even talking about the National Debt which will affect future generations of Americans.

It reminds me of the movie "Dave," which involved (among other things) an everyday-type CPA going in and balancing the budget, which was completely unacceptable to all the politrickians.

I love that scene! Always wondered why we couldn't do it in real life!

Yup.....Coming from the same mouth that said -

"My job is a job to make decisions. I'm a decision -- if the job description were, what do you do -- it's decision maker." --George W. Bush, Tipp City, Ohio, April 19, 2007

Yes, yes and yes. Congress has to do their part too and stop with the earmarks. And WE need to let them all know we will vote for fiscal sanity instead of porkity pork pork they try 'to bring home'.

The pork projects aren't for the constituents, they are for the lobbyists and fat cats, which is why we need SEVERE campaign and lobbying finance reform!
